Revox B795

built from 1979
In 1979, the Revox B795 was introduced as a more affordable version of the Revox B790. Its appearance was adapted to that of the Revox B7xx series. The speed control was reduced to a maximum of +/- 9.9%.
Revox B795 turntable, vinyl player, Premium-Hifi
Like everything at Revox, the record players seem to be built to last forever.
Of course, there are a few weak points here too (power switch, transport string, RCA cable and electrolytic capacitors).
But all of this is easily fixable. With proper repair and maintenance, the turntable is still in the top league today! Especially with our low-capacitance RCA cable with real shielding, the turntable performs a class or two better.
With the Clearaudio V2 series systems, you'll never miss the legendary Shure V 15 V system again. Music enjoyment at the highest level!

More and more often we see Revox devices and especially record players in the wildest colors.
With us you get the original Nextel - anything else is a breach of style!
Simple elegance instead of flashy effects that you quickly get tired of!
Revox B795 RCA cable from Premium-Hifi
The pins and housing alone cost over €10.00. We only manufacture RCA cables in low-capacitance versions. Good cabling is particularly important for record players. Here, the parasitic cable capacitance has a very strong impact on the performance of the pickup systems. The 220 pF/m (220 x 10^-12 As/V) of the Revox cables is far too high! Unfortunately, the effect of the parasitic capacitance of the cables is very difficult to predict or even calculate. Therefore, we largely do without these capacitances in the cable and, where necessary, use real capacitors in the order of up to 470 pF. Real shielding is also very important to us! The shielding is not misused as a ground wire. The ground always has its own wire, just like the signal. The shielding is always connected on one side only (towards the source).
Because we are convinced! Clearaudio V2 series systems, Premium-Hifi

Because we're convinced! Clearaudio offers great, high-quality systems in every price range. Clearaudio adapts the systems to the Revox turntables for us. We then adjust the tonearms to the system again.

We think it's worth it! A fantastic, very finely resolved sound with excellent and stable spatial representation, both in width and depth.

Newly coated turntable housing with the original Nextel from Premium-Hifi

While the casing of the Revox B77 or other devices in the B700 series is barely visible, the chassis and sub-chassis of Revox turntables are clearly visible. That's why a repainting with the original Nextel Suede Coating is so important! This is the only way to ensure that the exterior and interior match after a service. Even if the device is already disassembled, we only use the original Nextel, but in a variety of colors!

If you know the electronics of other manufacturers' turntables...
...the quartz-controlled motor control alone. A closed control loop that also takes the weight and inertia of the turntable into account. Such a closed loop makes troubleshooting extremely difficult. This is where our 25 years of experience with Studer and Revox and their electronics pays off!
The motor control of the Revox B795 vinyl player, turntable, Premium-Hifi

The control of the tangential tonearm is as ingenious as it is complicated. Nevertheless, troubleshooting is much easier than with the motor control. The circuit board contains the replacement relay for the NF 2 EB and the 1000 µF/40 V axial capacitor we manufactured for us.

We offer complete capacitor sets and, in some cases, repair kits for all Revox B795 circuit boards. We always include the appropriate assembly plans!
