Revox A700
built since 1973
From 1973, Revox produced the A700, which later became the Studer A67.
With the two tape tension scales, the three tape speeds, the quartz-controlled speed control and the sine-controlled winding motors, the device already has some features of the Studer studio devices.

Three-motor turntable, quartz-synchronized sound motor, which instantly sets the desired speed regardless of temperature, with no temperature drift. Two electronically controlled spool motors, controlled by two tape tension scales. Three speeds (9.5 cm/s, 19 cm/s, and 38 cm/s), 4-channel mixer, preamplifier with phono input, and switching output for power amplifiers.
Belt speed
With speeds of 38 cm/sec, 19 cm/sec, and 9.5 cm/sec, you can play all your older tapes or create recordings for a wide variety of needs. This allows you to create tape-saving voice recordings or high-quality master recordings.
Pitch fluctuations
better than 0.06% at 38 cm/sec,
better than 0.08% at 19 cm/sec and
better than 0.1% at 9.5 cm/sec.
With our pressure rollers for the Revox A700, all values of pitch fluctuations are exceeded!

Mechanical, 4-digit real-time display in seconds and minutes, but only at 19 cm/sec. At 9.5 cm/sec, you must multiply the display by 2; at 38 cm/sec, you must divide by 2.
We can always offer mechanical counters from repair stocks.

For each of the three speeds, the elapsed tape length is displayed in hours, minutes, and seconds. The counter readings are retained even after the Revox A700 is turned off.

Power-on delay
Two capacitors must be desoldered. This switch-on delay replaces the capacitors. It also protects and preserves the analog VU meters, which are no longer available!

Counter 700
We've been offering the digital counter for all Revox A700s since 2011. Initially, it had four digits. Conversions were necessary for tape speeds of 9.5 cm/s and 38 cm/s. Starting in 2017, we've been manufacturing the counter with five digits. The conversion is automatic!

dual op-amps
Since 2008, we have been offering a professional replacement for the dual op amps in the 14-pin package. We offer the replacement in four audiophile versions: NE 5532, OPA 2134, LM833, and LME 47920.This little circuit from ums is now being reproduced in many places. One even produced a 100% copy with round circuit paths. There's also a wired version! Why?
TCA 561
With the replacement of the TCA 561 IC, the last critical point for the preservation of the Revox A700 tape machine has been eliminated! Thanks to our counter, VU meter, TDA1000, and now the replacement for the TCA561, we at Premium-Hifi are almost always able to successfully repair it! This ensures the preservation of the Revox A700.
