The new power-on delay for all Studer Revox A77s is here!
Both the power-on and power-off behaviour have been improved. The power-off time has been significantly reduced.
Even after quickly switching off and on again, the delay time is reactivated.
Another weak point of the Revox A700 tape machine has been eliminated. Can we really still talk about a weak point after 52 years? In fact, there are increasing failures of the slide potentiometers in the Revox A700 and A720 models. The failures manifest themselves as loud scratching or pronounced level jumps. Mechanical defects are also becoming more frequent.
The new controllers are available in both a soldered version and a plug & play version, in which the wires and plugs are already assembled, so that all you need to do is plug them in. Some work is required to access the potentiometers. However, this is explained in detail in our instructions.
